Support your local restaurants! Great place for breakfast (much better than those breakfast chain options). Hubby and I love the chicken and dumplings here, I think it’s only available as a Wednesday lunch special (wish it was available everyday!). Great service and friendly staff.

This is the best breakfast I have ever eaten and the service from all the staff was excellent!! You just don’t see this kind of hospitality anymore and from the minute I walked into the place I felt like I was back home with family! I ordered the chicken fried steak and two eggs with hash browns and a side order of biscuits and gravy. The best biscuits and gravy I have had in awhile and that goes for the eggs too that were cooked to perfection!! I am still in a bit of a shock due to how great the food was and how the staff treated me like they have known me my entire life! I Highly recommend this down home cooking with excellent hospitality and I will be back again!! Thanks again for the great food and service!

Brought a large group for breakfast. The staff and the owner were very accommodating. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. I will be back soon!!

Very good staff. Usually have a steam table going at lunch with three or four lunch entrées and several veggie choices. Breakfast whenever they are open. Congenial staff with an owner always present. They do a good business.

This place is the best, it reminds me of my childhood. The moment you walk threw the door, the smell of home cooked food just over whelming you want to eat everything on the menu. I have only had breakfast here a few times and have never been disappointed. I can't wait until I get there for lunch and yes they do have lunch specials. There's always a lot of people just be patient it's worth it. The portions are more than enough for 1 person.

The service and food is always good. I enjoy coming here for breakfast whenever possible. I enjoy their steak and eggs while chatting it up with the staff.

We waited for this diner to open and were not disappointed on our first visit. Perfect breakfast,the large breakfast taco is excellent. My grandson get the waffle and finishes it, pancakes are good too. Plenty of coffee and great friendly help. The Broken Yolk is a good place to stop for breakfast if we head into Houston. Every now and then If I'm in the area I'll stop in for lunch. Burgers are great. This is one place we will wait in line for breakfast. Don't pass this one up.

Fast, friendly service, with large portions, and good prices. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, especially with the after church rush on Sundays, but it's worth the wait. Their food is consistently delicious, I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. It's clean, spacious, and has a bright, friendly atmosphere. When I'm in the mood for breakfast, I prefer to come here.

Used to be awesome, new staff is horrible. Waitress forgot to place my order and didnt even bring my table drinks until we've had our food for 10 min. Then she proceeded to take my plate(without asking) before I finished my food. Also messed up on splitting the checks.

1st time visit, Nice little place, Food arrived quickly, and server was attentive. Came for the breakfast, and was cooked per request. You are served a good amount of hash browns with your meal, so if you are with someone and want to split a plate, you probably can. I would like to come back and try their French Toast, because it looked good when I walked past someones elses table.

Best breakfast place in the area! I get the veggie omelette with spinach and side of homemade salsa, and then the half order of French toast! So good. The meals come with either grits or hash browns (I do half and half) and then toast or biscuits! I think an English muffin might also be an option. It’s a lot of food basically.

My first time and it was really good and I was able to order from the kids menu 😊 even better I found out that they are open until 3pm daily and I thought they just served breakfast but they have a big menu. Atmosphere is wonderful too, great service and good food go hand and hand ✌️🏻

It has a very good breakfast menu. The bacon with my meal was excellent. The boys really enjoyed the pancakes. This can be a good place to get a good breakfast.

11/12/16 Still one of my favorite diners in Pasadena, TX. 09/2016 This diner feels really old, which is great!!! It has a real good mom and pop atmosphere. But, don't think that means this place is ugly and run down. It isn't. This place is very clean and well kept. The food is good as are the portions, the staff is really good and friendly (Shout-out to Cherry). Never had a long wait time. I like that this business supports the community.

Food was good. Coffee is like water. For 2.50 a cup it was very disappointing. Service was just ok

Ordered very simply bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Got them back. Lettuce tomato no cheese. I mean what is the deal today. Very simple instructions. I just gave them back I didn't want a scene. Maybe if I actually had time I would have waited but honestly very easy order. .

Now when people claim to be "The Best" I automatically get skeptical. But for once they are not exaggerating. The food was great! I had the Texas french toast and it was amazing. Absolutely love this place. Brenda is one of the best waitresses they have on staff. Our meal was wonderful. The only negative thing was was the omelet was alil over cooked. But other than that we will come back.

We are customers for life! Everyone needs a great breakfast spot and I have 10000000000% found ours! The prices were great for the quality of the food and I felt the portions were awesome! I had leftovers to eat on for a couple days for sure. I absolutely love that you have the option to have a half and half order of grits and hash browns instead of being limited to just one or the other. Our server was so great and helpful. She made suggestions to me about how I should order since I couldn't decide on anything and I wanted to try everything. I can't wait to go back and bring our family with us.

Okay...I like breakfast. It's about my favorite meal to eat out, so I'm always looking for a decent place to eat breakfast. I happened to be near this restaurant one morning and decided to stop in. I will have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I was immediately welcomed by several folks when I walked in and told to help myself to a seat. The waitress was there quickly with a menu and asking would I like coffee. I had a three egg breakfast with ham, hashbrowns, and biscuits. Everything was extremely good.
